Hi, my name is Rosa and I would like to offer you a good old fashioned Italian welcome to my website. In the following pages you will find collections of what I think are the best induction cooktops my research has yielded in the past few months. I have built-in, portable and even the odd range or two for you to browse through.
What I would like to let you know is that I’m not an expert on this subject. Well, I am in terms of information, but I’m not someone who works in the induction technology industry. I’m just an average family woman who loves to cook.
Of course, cooking takes up a large part of my life considering my roots and this website all started just because I needed an extra burner in my kitchen over the holidays.
This lead me to delve into the world of induction cooktops in general because, quite honestly, I have not come across a more precise, safe and enjoyable way of cooking anywhere else. In fact, I love my Max Burton so much that I’m now in the process of looking into replacing my built-in gas cooktop with induction.
Because I don’t work in the induction industry, you will find nothing but good, honest and straight to the point information in the reviews I’ve gathered for you. Just think of my website as a place where you can at last find out all about induction, and maybe a cooktop that will suit your needs.
For Those of You That Don’t Have Much Time
I understand you may have skipped straight to this section of text. After all, there aren’t many people around who have the time to sit back and read through a whole website. So, if you already know what induction cook tops are all about, I have added a comparison table for you. In this section, you will be able to see immediately which models I have included, and if you’re so inclined you can go straight to the review at the end.
If it’s Information You Need…
Although I have made it possible for you to purchase a cooktop if you want, I’m also about giving you as much information as possible to make it easier for you to find what you’re looking for.
- How Induction Cooktops Work
I’m particularly proud of this section on my website because it took a good deal of research. However, when you read the information I have included here I’m sure the penny will drop for you just like it did me.
- Induction Vs Electric
During my research I have come across a lot of people who are confused about electric and induction. So, on this page you will find everything you need to know. Yes, induction does use electric but that’s not how it cooks your food!
- Induction Vs Gas
I couldn’t give you information on induction vs electric without including gas as well. As I have said, I currently have a gas cooktop, but hopefully that will soon change. If you currently think gas is more efficient than induction then you’re in for a surprise!
- What Cookware to Use
Lots of people turn away from induction cookers because they think it means they will have to buy a completely new set of cookware. Induction does have its limits, but as you will see from the information I’ve included here there is more scope than you might think.
Reviews on My Best Pick Induction Cooktops
I’m all about making this search as easy as possible for you, so below you will find my best picks for the different types of inductions cooktops.
- Best Induction Stove Top for Beginners
If you’re new to the world of induction cooking and want to know what it is all about, the Nuwave Pic2 is your best bet. Matching cookware comes included with this baby, making it perfect for starting out.
- Best Portable Induction Cooktop Overall (1 Burner)
Of course, I had to include the Max Burton 6200 first on my list because I have one of these! They’re just great if you want an extra burner for cooking in the home, or if you have a power supply you can even use it outdoors.
- Best Cooktop with 2 Burners
If you need more than one burner but still want portability, the True Induction S2F2 double burner is a great choice. And what’s great is you can also buy it as a built-in model!
- Best Built-In Cooktop
Don’t tell mom the GE PHP960DMBB 5 burner built-in cooktop was third on my list because she obviously thinks it should be first. After spending most of her adult life using anything but induction, she now guards this cook top with her life!
- Best Range with Induction
OK, so this is a range that uses induction and not just a cooktop but it had to be on my list. The GE PHB925STSS has some of the most advanced features I’ve come across. Just check out the perfect turkey option!
More Information, Hints and Tips
What’s the one thing that irritates any cook about cooking? That’s right, cleaning the cooktop!
I have discovered that keeping an induction cooktop is as easy as “pie”, however, if you’re new to induction or are still using a traditional glass cook top, take a look at this page for some really handy tips.
You may still be a little skeptical about induction technology, and I can understand that. This is why I’ve added this page with cooking demonstrations, where you will see exactly how the electromagnetic waves will heat your meals.
And for the people out there who are more technically minded, you might be interested in the way these cooktops are made so I’ve also added a video on that as well.
Now if you’ve already done some research on induction cooking, you may have noticed the cooktops come in a massive range of prices. If you want to know why, I have the answer for you on this informational page.
A Final Few Words
After all the research I have done, I know how induction cooking is still being met with some sense of suspicion. But, I speak from experience and months worth of research when I tell you this really is the way forward if you want safe, easy and a cleaner way of cooking. Of course, you should still make up your own mind, but I just wanted to pass on what I have learned, and also let everyone know how great I think induction technology is.
Enjoy! Your friend Rosa.
